GAGV Foundation Chair

In 2018 Cindy retired from Indianapolis Public Schools and relocated in Seattle to be closer to family. During her long career as a special educator she developed a deep commitment to violence prevention and equity in educational supports for students and their families.

This interest led her to serve on the boards of the Peace Learning Center, Marion County Commission on Youth and Marion County Mental Health Association. She holds advanced degrees from Ball State University and Indiana University. Cindy believes in the importance of community service and has found several opportunities to serve, when she and family are not exploring the Pacific Northwest.
