STRATEGIC OUTREACH & COMMUNICATION

Sarah J.E. Dean serves on the Communications, Diversity and Partnerships, and Membership Committees. She is retired after a 36-year career with Washington State’s Community and Technical Colleges, as tenured faculty at Renton Technical College; adjunct faculty at Shoreline, Seattle Central, South Seattle and Highline Colleges and Director of Public Information at Seattle Vocational Institute. She graduated from the University of Washington with degrees in English and Communications.

Sarah recently received the Social Justice Award from the Black Law Enforcement Association of Washington. She has three grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Jade is an avid storyteller determined to illustrate authentic narratives through writing, photography, design and video.

She graduated Western Washington University with a degree in Visual Journalism and a minor in English. From solo projects to managing a team, Jade is devoted to sharing information in the most captivating, accessible presentations.

Among others, Jade’s work has been published for The New York Times, Bellingham Alive Magazine and the Seattle Sounders FC.
