Susan Simon
Past Chair
After graduating from the University of Texas Susan Simon joined the Washington D.C. staff of Texas Congressman J. J. Pickle. In Seattle she became active in her community as President of the John Muir PTA, the Mount Baker Community Club and a member of Mothers Against Violence in America (MAVIA). As the founder of Students Against Violence Everywhere (SAVE) at Garfield High School, she guided students to work within the school, community, and city to find ways to reduce violence in any form. She and her husband have three children and six amazing grandchildren who continually give her the inspiration to work for a safer world for all.
